"I have been auditioning, auditioning, auditioning! Also, I've been getting my marketing material together. I earned my first IMDB credit and I'm cutting a reel that should be done in a few weeks. I'm alsm writing and producing my first scene that will be shot this weekend. I'll be moving to NYC in a few weeks, that's the only reason I haven't signed up for your Fall Semester. Thank you so much for all you've taught me."

Maat may be a small package but she sure does have a BIG voice! That's something we quickly noticed over the past few years as she's trained with our youth division, The Children's Theatre Workshop summer camp. Be sure to watch the show and cheer her on as the weeks go by!
"Seymone's first experience at TCTW has not only been a positive learning experience for her and our whole family but has been quite exhilarating, exhaustive and just plain fun for her. She loved the whole family of TCTW from the first day she attended and expressed a desire since that day to attend every year until she ages out and has even written an essay describing her experience. I have never seen her so excited about a camp like this before. Seymone has never been to a drama camp and her experience this summer gave her the knowledge, confidence and fortitude to audition and land a significant role of the "Little Girl" in her school play, "Once on This Island." Stepping at TCTW has helped her to focus, be more patient and taught her how to improvise. This is a wonderful camp and the TCTW staff is doing a fabulous job! ~ Ms. Marshall

"Let me just say that It has been a joy to have Morgan participate in your programs. The summer camp was an awesome experience for Morgan. It's been a very long time since I've not had to drag her out of bed in the mornings. For five glorious weeks, Morgan was awake, perky and excited to see what new adventure awaited her at "Camp Rock" :) Might I also add as a Howard Alumni class of 1985, School of Business, that never had I imagined walking the "yard" with my daughter. What a proud feeling it was. I think we might have a future Bison on our hands wiith Morgan. More likely in Fine Arts than School of B thanks to your creativeness and enthusiasm." ~ Ms. Austin

"TCTW Camp is a great growth experience. Both my daughter and my niece have attended for 2 years. My niece comes all the way from Detroit and plans to do so until she ages out! They have grown in their relationship with each other as they share the TCTW experience. They have made friends - many of whom travel from outside of the DC area for this experience. They have matured and become more independent. For example, I was impressed at how much my daughter learned to be a part of a team. Given the size of the camp all kids can't have big roles although they are all well represented. She was disappointed that her auditions did not net her the roles she wanted but overall she maturely accepted and continued to thoroughly enjoy being part of the team. A great lesson for a 9 year old! I really do not have the words to adequately describe how special TCTW is. I just know if you give your child TCTW you give your child something wonderful!" ~ Ms. Johnson
