Through our youth division, The Children's Theatre Workshop, we offer youth classes on Saturdays and both summer and winter break holiday camps.

Youth training focuses on strengthening the skills of courage, confidence, concentration and public speaking.  Our philosophy emphasis is on a strong foundation of craft, process, creativity, discovery and leadership. During the semester, we also hold our unique Intergenerational Day with parents invited to participate in a class with their student!

Final Peformnace - All students participate in a FREE final performance on the last day of the semester 6/2 at 11am.  Friends and family are invited to attend.

 By signing below, I give permission for my child to participate in The Children’s Theatre Workshop summer camp through The Perfrorming Arts Training Studio. In case of an emergency I authorize personnel of PATStudio/TCTW to care for my child, I give permission for emergency medical care to be administered, giving the assigned personnel permission to use their judgment in obtaining medical services. I agree to waive all rights to hold PATStudio/TCTW, including staff, volunteers, and representatives thereof, liable for any accident or injury sustained by myself or my child, or damage to any personal property possessed by either, while participating in all activities or related programming. I also allow PATStudio/TCTW personnel, volunteers, and associated organizations to take both still and motion pictures of my child, and understand that these images will be used for display and publicity through The Performing Arts Training Studio website, internet marketing, and other forms of media that use still photography, as well as DVD presentations.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

AGES 5 - 8 - Creative Drama Theatre Games -
tActors strengthen their skills through playing games. Build confidence, focus, discipline and leadership in this fun team environment.  This class will help you child to express themselves in front of others and think on their feet. TIME: 1-1:50 Sat.

AGES 5-8 - Acting Bonanza! - Scenes 
 Your little thespian will be chanllenged in this class to use their acting skills of focus, physical and emotional expressive-ness,  memorizatin and team work to create dramatic scenes for a final performance for family and friends. TIME: 12:-12:50pm, Saturday

AGES 13 - 16 - Ready, Set, ACT! - monologues & scenes - What does it mean to become someone else? Playing a character one time is challenge, yet imagine having to play a role eight times a week! Students will explore various techniques actors use to create believable characters and a sustainable performance. Using a script, students will memorize lines and strengthen their ability to maintain focus and commitment. TIME: 1-1:50pm, Saturday

AGES 9-12 - Actor's Playground - Scenes - This class will help your adventurous thespian learn the tricks of the trade! Students will use a script to understand the process of creating a character and bringing text to life.  This class will help students develop reading comprehension and verbal skills. Additionally, this class will strengthen your adventurous thespian’s ability to be physically and emotionally expressive. TIME: 12-12:50pm Saturday
