Through our Education Division PATStudio offers career and creativity coaching for creative types such as Actors, Directors, Models, Playwrights, Directors and everyday people.

Classes and workshops are designed specifically to help people maximize their creativie potential through strengthening the necessary skills to lead a successful life and career: Mindset, Knowledge, and Taking Action.

Our team of Master Instructors and invited facilitators for special workshops have the professional experience to help guide you to your next level! 

Master Instructors
Professor Denise J. Hart is a tenured Professor of theatre at Howard University and an accomplished and award winning actress, director and playwright.    She is a graduate of Howard University (BFA in Acting) and holds an MFA in Playwriting from Sarah Lawrence College. Ms. Hart is the founder and Executive Director of The Performing Arts Training Studio, author of 15 children's plays with music and her most recent Directing credits include: Day of Absence (selected to compete in the 2008 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival regional conference).  and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone.  Her most recent playwriting achievement includes the production - This Joy, (a 2007 finalist in both The Lark and the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights competition.)  Hart is also a Creativity Coach, having trained with world reknowed Creativity coach Dr. Eric Maisel.  Known as The Motivated Mindset Coach, she is a featured coach on the worldsalon.com and throughout her career has facilitated over 2000 hours of training. Hart is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, The Dramatist Guild, The Playwrights Forum, and Theatre for Young Audiences.  Hart proudly serves on the boards of The DC Black Theatre Festival, Takoma Theatre Conservancy and DC Art Studios.  Visit her inspirational blog at www.motivationmama.com

William Powell, an accomplished DC-area actor, is committed to helping fellow actors get stage and screen work. A long time Actors’ Center member, William has played an FBI agent and a banker on Investigation Discovery’s "Who the Bleep Did I Marry?" crime reenactment show; appeared in the training films "Auditioning Secrets" and "Sleep Apnia"; appeared in the indie films "Recession Proof" and "Conscious Imprisonment" and in commercials for the likes of Car Max, T. Rowe Price and GEICO; appeared in TV shows like HBO's "VEEP"; and appeared in stage plays like "Barefoot in the Park" and "Bye Bye Birdie" at Prince George’s Little Theatre and writes a theatre article for the examiner.com
