Class Size & Length
There are 5 class meetings per session and class sizes are limited to 12 students with a regular tuition rate of $125. All classes are taught at our Takoma Park studio - 6925 willow St. NW WDC 20012 (2 blocks from the redline Takoma metro).
Spring Semester 2012 runs March 19 - April 21st with our end of Semester performance and play readings held on Saturday 4/21 at 6pm.

Monday Classes - meet: 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16
Playwriting 3 - Learn how to utilize economy of dialogue, character names, setting selection and how to incorporate metaphor into your writing through studying the 10 minute play format. This class is for Playwrights, Theatre Teachers, Directors & Actors.
Time: 6:30 - 7:30pm

Stanislavski 1 Acting Techniques -Using monologues, this course focuses on the developing the skills that reveal the characters emotional journey using objectives and creating a through lline, psychological motivation and using authenticity of physical energy for heightened story telling. This class is for Theatre Teachers, Actors, Playwrights, Directors.
Time: 6:30 - 7:30pm

Scene Study 2- Learn how to create atmosphere and strengthen your listening and sending and receiving skills as you work with a partner to bring the story of the scene to life. - This class is for Actors, Theatre Teachers, Directors.

Stanislavski 3 Acting Techniques - Dramatically increase your emotional range! using scenes, this course focuses on the final elements of the Stanislavski system: Imagination, Physical life and the Magic If. Students will explore heightened conflict through scene work. This class is for Theatre Teachers, Actors, Directors.

Acting Improv 1 - Strengthen you courage, confidence and over all creativity with this beginner class exploring Improv technique of Viola Spolin. Class focuses on creating a more flexible and agile actors instrument - body, voice and imagination/emotions.

Create Believable Characters - Working on monologues, students will learn how to utilize the character breakdown and incorporating Stanislavski techniques as they incorporate costume and props into creating believable characters.

Directions from the metro: Exit the metro and walk straight towards the 7 Eleven, continue pass the 7 Eleven 1 block on Carroll Ave. Approach the CVS on the right hand side of the street. Take Willow Street pass the CVS down to 6925 Willow St., which is on the left hand side (do not stop at 6925A which is the 1st entrance on the corner at the light).
